Did you know that Christianity is the most divided religion in the world? These divisions have not only weakened the influence we've had in our nation but have also made the Christian faith less appealing to those seeking Truth. If you are reading this page, it is not by accident. This is a critical period in history, God is calling His church to reset and a part of that means repenting for, among other things, factions and divisions. Then we must attempt to unite where we can. Is total unity possible? Honestly, I don't believe it is because not everyone who claims Christ is walking in the light.

But because Jesus Himself prayed for our unity, stating that through our unity, the world will know that He was sent by God (see John 17:20-23), I believe that some level of unity is possible with true followers of Christ. It is clear that disunity within the Body is not the heart of the Father, and that unity is the key to impacting our nation in greater ways. The growing division within the Body of Christ, as our nation drifts further from God, should deeply trouble us all. If it doesn't, it's time to engage in some serious self-reflection.

The Cities United initiative was created to encourage church leaders to pioneer unity among Christian churches in their cities, transcending doctrinal and cultural differences for corporate prayer and intercession. I believe that by uniting in a concerted effort for organized strategic prayer, we can build bridges, and at the same time, profoundly impact local communities through spiritual warfare in these last days. The church, the Ekklesia, is the most powerful force on earth, and together, we can transform our nation one city at a time.
